Setting Up PayPal Payflow Pro US & UK

PayPal Payflow Pro (aka PayPal Payments Pro UK) is live on FoxyCart, but if you run into problems please let us know if the http://forum.foxycart.com/ forums.
What it is
Depending on what you're looking at and what country you're in, PayPal's Payflow Pro might be called:
- PayPal Payflow Pro UK (as it's called in some of the developer documentation)
- PayPal Payflow Pro AUSTRALIA (if you're interested in testing Australian support please let us know)
All these services are almost identical, though the UK accounts have the ability to process (non-credit) debit cards like Maestro. Debit card support is coming to FoxyCart in a future version, but is not currently supported (as of v0.4.0).
There are only a few steps you'll need to take to use PayPal's Website Payments Pro with FoxyCart:
Choosing the correct username
PayPal gives you the option to setup additional usernames within one Merchant Account, if you use these options it is critically important that you select the right username to use with FoxyCart. The username must match the Merchant Account Name:
See the “Company Name” field? Make a note of that. Also make a note of the “Partner”, as that will need to be entered as well. Then go to your “Manage Users” screen:
Make sure that the username corresponding to the Merchant Name is ACTIVE. Use that username in your FoxyCart admin.
Choosing the correct password
While the password that lets you into manager.paypal.com can be the same as your transaction password, it often is not. It is especially confusing because the Merchant login and Partner name remain the same, but the passwords are called differently depending on the interface (manager or shopping cart) used. - Log into your PayFlow Pro account at http://manager.paypal.com
- Click on the Account Administration tab.
- Under Manage Security, click Change Password.
- Click Change PayFlow Pro Transaction password.
