Checkout.com

Currently Foxy integrates with Checkout.com for card based payments directly on the Foxy checkout. The integration will be expanded in the future to also support the alternate payment methods available through their hosted payment page. Please get in touch with us if you would be interested in this expanded integration.

If you're looking for assistance with creating a Checkout.com account, reach out to their team at partnerships@checkout.com.

Setting Up Checkout.com for Foxy

To connect your Checkout.com account to Foxy, you will need to generate a Secret Key. You can do that by following these steps:

  1. In the Checkout.com dashboard, in the left hand navigation, go to the Developers > Keys section
  2. Click the green “Create a new key” button
  3. Select a “Secret API Key” as the key type
  4. Give the key an optional description (like “Foxy.io”), just so you know where this key is being used
  5. Under “Scopes” select the default “Payments” option
  6. Click the “Create key” button at the bottom of the page to create the key
  7. On the confirmation page, you will need to copy the “Secret API Key” value. It's important you copy this as this will be the only time that the full key will be visible to you.
  8. Log in to the Foxy administration, and proceed to the “payment” page.
  9. Enable the “Let customers pay with a Credit or Debit Card” option, and in the “bank card payment method” dropdown, select “Checkout.com”
  10. Paste the key you copied from the Checkout.com dashboard into the “secret key” text input.
  11. Configure the other options as needed, ensuring 3D Secure is configured as required for your region.
  12. Save the Foxy payment settings
